  • Trust documents and last wills outline asset management and distribution preferences. Singing in the presence of a licensed notary public helps ensure legal compliance and peace of mind for estate planning.

  • A valid Power of Attorney and Advance Health Care Directive are an essential part of your life essential documents. Regardless of age, it is highly recommended to have these forms completed and notarized.

  • As a licensed, insured, and bonded Texas notary public, Katz Notary will serve as both the signing notary and an objective witness when need be.

    All notary signatures will be accompanied by the state required seal as proof of notarization.

  • A certified copy is a copy of an original document; but the copy comes along with an endorsement or certificate which denotes that the copy is a true and legitimate copy of the primary document.

    Certified copies are often requested for Power of Attorney documents.

  • If you have family that lives outside of the United States and you need assistance preparing a letter for their VISA application, we can help. Each of our VISA application invitation letters are professionally prepared and notarized to ensure the all approval requirements are met.

  • The purpose of an acknowledgment is for a signer, whose identity has been verified, to declare to a Notary or notarial officer that they have willingly signed a document.

    Notary administered acknowledgements verify the identity of the signer, and validate that the document was signed willingly.

  • An affidavit is a sworn statement or affirmation that can be utilized to prove innocence, and or, provide clarity in the midst of a potential dispute. These affidavits must be notarized in order to take full effect.

  • The purpose of a jurat — also known in some states as a “verification upon oath or affirmation” — is for a signer to swear to or affirm the truthfulness of the contents of a document to a Notary or notarial officer.

    Jurats are administered by Notary Publics as a means of verifying with the signer, that all of the document’s content are truthful. They are typically carried out along with a verbal oath or affirmation.

Pricing

Katz Notary respects the prices that are set by the state of Texas and the National Notary Association for Notary Public services. The only additional costs that may apply are those pertaining to travel, notarizations requested outside of normal business hours, priority same day service, and other unique circumstances.

  • $10 per signature

    Pricing for the notarization of Trust Documents and Last Will and Testaments is predicated upon the number of signatures being notarized.

  • $10 per signature

    Pricing for the notarization of Power of Attorney and Advance Health Care Directive documents is predicated upon the number of signatures being notarized.

  • $10 per signature

    Divorce Documents are treated as most other documents; with pricing being based upon the number of signatures being notarized.

  • $10 per copy certification

    Certified copies are not priced per page; instead, customers pay only for each Copy Certification that is requested. For instance, if a customer needs to certify that a copy of a 30 page Power of Attorney package is indeed a true and accurate copy of the original documents, then the customer will only be required to pay $10 for the one Copy Certification of the document package.

    In certain instances in which a customer requests that the Notary print the copy instead of providing their own copy, some additional charges may apply.

  • $10 for first signature. $1 for each additional signature on the same certificate.

    Pricing for Acknowledgements are dictated by the number of signatures that must be notarized. If a document package consists of only 1 signature, the Acknowledgement by the Notary Public would only cost $10. Contrarily, if a 1 page document consists of 2 signatures that must be notarized, the cost for the Acknowledgement would total to $11.

  • Item $10 per signature

    Cost is determined by the number of affidavits being notarized, and or, the number of signatures being notarized. For example, if a single person needs to have an affidavit notarized, and they are the only party signing the affidavit, then their notarization cost would be $10. However, if a couple would like to draft and notarize an affidavit, their notarization cost would be $20; reason being, there are two signatures that would need to be notarized.

  • $10 per oath or affirmation

    The cost for Verbal Oaths, Affirmations, and Jurats is based upon the number of Oaths and Affirmations that must be administered. For example if a couple requests an Oath, the cost would total to $20 because two individuals are requesting the administration of an Oath by the Notary Public.

  • Notarization fees authorized under Tex. Gov’t. Code Ann. §406.024, per Section 603.008 of the Government Code:

    For protesting a bill or note for nonacceptance or nonpayment, register and seal: $4

    For each notice of protest: $1

    For protesting in all other cases: $4

    For certificate and seal to a protest: $4

    For taking the acknowledgment or proof of a deed or other instrument in writing, for registration, including certificate and seal;

    • For the first signature: $10

    • For each additional signature: $1

    For administering an oath or affirmation with certificate and seal: $10

    For a certificate under seal not otherwise provided for: $10

    For a copy of a record or paper in the notary public’s office (for each page): $1

    For taking the deposition of a witness (for each 100 words): $1

    For swearing a witness to a deposition, certificate, seal, and other business connected with taking the deposition: $10

    For a notarial act not provided for: $10

FAQs

  • Some form of state approved identification. Acceptable forms of ID include: Driver’s License, U.S. Passport, State Issued ID, an inmate identification card issued by the Texas Department of Corrections, U.S. military ID, an employee ID issued by an agency or office of the state of Texas or a Texas city, county, or city and county. Other forms of identification may be acceptable for certain notarial acts; however, you must first verify with your Notary.

    The documents that need to be notarized. If you are unable to print the documents in advance, the Notary can do so, however additional charges may apply.

  • As a mobile Notary, we are more than happy to come to you. If you would rather not meet at your home, the appointment can take place at any public setting of your choice.

  • Cash, card, electronic payment (i.e. Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay), cashier’s checks and money orders are the only forms of payment that are accepted. Personal checks are not accepted.
